Prosciutto's roll in the story is that of the second in command for a group of Assassins that are forced to find and kill the main characters after the main villain kills two of their own as a threat of action against them should they not comply with his will. Prosciutto himself is a calm, calculating, and ruthless killer whom will use any means necessary to make a hit. While his group does follow the Code (no contract, no dishonor, no kill), they do not seem to care what civilians might be killed in the crossfire in the process of their mission. They do not, however, directly kill anyone whom they are not contracted to or has done them no wrong. You just want to GET OUT OF THE WAY when they are in the middle of a hit. Prosciutto often finds himself as a voice of reason in the group, given the rest of the group are a little less than sane. His devotion to Risotto borders on infatuation, as well. He is skilled with both gun as well as his Stand, a psychic weapon of sorts that is a physical representation of his spiritual power, invisible to all but other Stand users and the spiritually/psychically aware. His Stand was obtained by being pierced with the Arrow, a powerful artifact that unlocks within a living thing their latent spiritual/psychic abilities. If one survives being cut by the Arrow (most die), then depending on the nature of the wound, they will either slowly or quickly develop a Stand. All living things, no matter what species, can have Stands. There are even rare cases of people whom are born with Stands without ever being exposed to the Arrow in their life time. The Arrows themselves are carved from a meteor that crashed into Greenland long before the story ever begins, and to this day there are only six known Arrows, all but one of which are in the custody of a powerful corporation. Grateful Dead: A massive humanoid torso with no legs. Instead, it trails wires from its "waist", and its entire surface is covered with evil eyes. The eyes exude a vapor that rapidly accelerates living beings' aging. However, the aging is staved off by cold, meaning that women (who have a somewhat lower body temperature on average than men) age less rapidly, and that one can completely avoid the effect by holding ice. The aging process accelerates even further if Grateful Dead actually makes physical contact with a victim. Prosciutto can choose whether he is affected; if so, his touch has the same effect as Grateful Dead, and will reverse his own aging. In Onorata, the effect will be significantly less widespread, basically only effecting his chosen target and not an entire area ONORATA-VERSE BACKGROUND: (liking of characters approved by the other mun) Prosciutto was born to a once well respected mafia house under a completely different name that has since been absorbed and weakened to the point of irrelevance, but he's not exactly bitter about it. Prosciutto never really felt like he had a place in the rigid bureaucracy of a crime family. Instead, he was one of the first recruits into Risotto's assassin team. Seeking something that would give them an edge over other hired guns, Risotto and Prosciutto uncovered an ancient artifact in Sardinia called the Arrow. They soon discovered that by piercing themselves with the Arrow, they gained special powers through the use of a spiritual bodyguard called a Stand (as in "those who stand by you"). Prosciutto's called itself Grateful Dead. Risotto's group is unaffiliated with any family and is therefore considered untrustworthy for the most part, but their skills are still highly sought after, especially considering Stands leave no trace of their user. AKA no evidence. The Arrows are still carved from the meteorite, but now are scattered throughout the world in various ruins of ancient empires. One such arrow was found in a Roman Temple on Sardinia and is currently in the possession of Risotto's Assassin group.
